Terrible Experience – Rude and Unprofessional Staff
If I could give Simmons Bar zero stars, I would. My friends and I had one of the worst experiences here, all because of the staff—especially an older woman with white hair who was shockingly rude and unprofessional.
We were told we could step out briefly and return, but when we came back (literally 10 minutes later), we were suddenly denied re-entry. Even when we explained that we had only left to drop off a friend and needed to check on two other female friends still inside, they refused. The male security guards were already unhelpful, but when a female staff member arrived, I thought she would be more understanding. Instead, she was aggressive, dismissive, and downright nasty, making sarcastic remarks and refusing to help in any way.
As women, we were simply trying to ensure our friends’ safety, yet this woman, of all people, showed zero empathy. Instead of being professional, she escalated the situation, provoking an argument and acting as if we were in the wrong for caring about our friends. The lack of basic human decency was shocking.
This place clearly doesn’t care about customer service or women’s safety. Avoid it at all costs.

As a regular at Simmons I have always enjoyed my experiences, often leaving positive reviews highlighting great staff members. However, I have to say this particular location was by far the worst due to the poor service.
My partner and I visited last night for a drink, and the bartender was rude from the start. We ordered two Zombies, which were filled with ice and barely any actual drink (as you can see from the pictures)—the glasses weren’t even full. The passion fruit cup also lacked rum, and when I asked about the fire and the rum, another staff member dismissively told me, “We don’t have any fire today,” with no further explanation or attempt to offer an alternative.
This experience completely put me off this location. As someone who manages events, I know how crucial customer experience is, and unfortunately, this location completely missed the mark. I won’t be returning, and I won’t be recommending it.

Toilet Attendant had a go at me for washing my hands for too long when no one else was in the toilets and I have OCD, and when I told her I have OCD she zoned out to her AirPods. Such rude unprofessional behaviour that I have never experienced before.

I asked this guy at bar one for a double vodka and lemonade and he poured the smallest amount of vodka in the glass. I tried to dispute it and he justified it by saying that’s there’s less ice cubes in the bottom of the glass and that through his training he’s learnt that that was a double. His colleague proceeded to pour a double using the double spirit measure and concluded he didn’t even pour a single. He then poured another single in and overcharged me by over £2 to a total of £15.50 for one double vodka and lemonade when it should be £13.40. He was rude and either needs more training or shouldn’t be in the job.

Overheated, overloud, incredibly straight nightclub vibes.
Poster as you enter recommending you to ask staff for a drinks cover is very off-putting, but gives you an idea what you're in for.
